The Cefcon Rotary Decorating Continuous H.S.D. / L.D.O. / L.P.G. / C.N.G. fired Kiln offers the user a different approach to the fast firing of on - glaze decoration / Glost firing of ware. Kiln consumes electric power as little as 2.0 H.P. Single Phase making it most viable. An IN to OUT firing time of as little as 20 minutes can be achieved for some items-such as gold banded china etc.

I. Glost firing of Handmade tiles / mural Tiles at temp. 1050oC - 1100oC can easily be done. Firing cycle from Cold to Cold is as little as 150 - 200 minutes

II. Lustre & Vitrosa firing of Glazed tiles and Terra Kota firing at 950oC - 1000oC can easily be done in these kilns. Firing cycle from Cold to Cold is between 50 - 120 minutes.

V. These kiln may be used for printing & decoration of glass articles e.g. tumbler, bowl etc. at temp. 500oC - 650oC. Firing time from Cold to Cold is between 40 - 60 minutes.

The principle of operation involves a well insulated "RING" platform continually rotating in a clockwise / anti-clockwise direction through the firing zone at the rear of the kiln and eventually returning to the unloading / loading position. A geared motor arrangement drives the platform with the speed of rotation being controlled by an easy to set variable speed controller. This, along with the digital temperature indicator mounted adjacent to the unloading / loading station. The kiln will achieve set temperature approximately 1/2 hours after switching on.

SPECIFICATION

In all cases, Kilns are designed and manufactured to suit specific requirements, therefore quotations are offered only after consultations with our sales team.

KILN SIZE

This should be based on an assessment of the ware to be fired, always bearing in mind that the larger the chamber the more efficient use can be made of the fuel. If it is intended that the kiln should be used on a solely commercial basis then it is always more beneficial to fire a smaller kiln as many times per week as possible, as opposed to attempting to fill a large kiln on say a once per fortnight basis.

CAPITAL COST

The kiln is probably the most expensive single items to purchase when setting up a pottery studio. Ensure that when calculating the cost, add all associate extras that may be required.
